“ This place was a recommendation for good food in the local area. I was told there was a new owner, and the person making the recommendation hoped that the quality didn't change. Well, we got there a half hour before closing, and I apologized. They still welcomed us in. The service was great, and the food was outstanding. I struck up a conversation with a young man at the register. He happened to be the new owner. He also was welcoming and sounded like he had a lot of pride in what he was accomplishing. I am looking forward to being back in the area so that I can try to enjoy some more of their many options available. ”
“ So...this was my first time here...and let me tell you'll...it was awesome! Debbie took care of all us! Her service was top notch! The food also was amazing...I had the chicken tenders with fries,mac and cheese and hot corn with butter...yes...you hear that right...3 sides! My other friends had salads...one with crab...and the other with grilled chicken...and they also said it was fantastic...and i believe them because their plates were empty! “ I had a friendly welcome the second I walked in. I let the host know I have a dog with me and without hesitation they said that’s fine. The first thing I ordered was the fried chicken, collard greens, Northern beans, macaroni and cheese. it came out fast and it was super delicious. I was hungry after that because I’ve been camping all week and I ordered the hotdog. I got sweet slaw, relish, and onions, and it was delicious. Thank you so much for the great experience Lisa. ”
“ Okay. Hang to you hats but I have to tell you that I just had one of the most outstanding and delicious amazing fish fry! I could not believe that you can get an endless fish, fish fry and three, yes I said three sides for 15.99! This is my first but definitely not my last time eating there! The dinning area was very nice and home like. Not too big or not too small. Our fabulous waitress Debbie, was wonderful and treated us like valued customers, close to being family who gave us great service! Now the meal, the three sides were delicious. I ordered one blackened fish fry and one fried. The blackened fish melted in my mouth and the fried was very moist. Both fish dinners were delicious. All of the wait staff were very nice and looked like they enjoyed working there. I highly recommend eating dinner there! Delicious food and outstanding customer service. What more can you ask for on a Friday night! Thank you! ”
“ I’m always on the hunt for a good biscuits and gravy. Have tried many different diners and restaurants even the one in Mount Dora that says best breakfast in lake county that wasn’t that good. I can honestly say The Mason Jar has the Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had!! The rest of the breakfast was great too. ”
